Lars brings over 30 years of executive-level IT experience to the StrataFusion Group. He has been a Senior Executive / CIO at companies such as Skype, Yahoo, Lucent Technologies, Fidelity Investments, Intuit , Redback Networks, Octel Communications and NeXT Computer. Lars is a recognized industry expert in SAAS/Cloud Computing; Global IT and IT Transformations.

Experience

As CIO for Skype, Intuit, Yahoo and Redback Lars was responsible for the overall strategic direction and execution of global information technology infrastructure, as well as global data centers and networks. At Skype Lars led the global technology group from the EBay spin off through to the acquisition by Microsoft. At Yahoo Lars also led the development of advertising and billing systems. His career has spanned more than 40 years of technology management experience in the financial services, retail and software/hardware sectors.

Lars has managed groups of over 1,500 employees in over 50 countries with budget responsibility of over $1B. He successfully developed, acquired and implemented large company wide systems in many industries including high tech, financial services, media and retail. Lars has a track record as a change agent in both large and small environments with experience in mergers, acquisitions, as well as outsourcing on-shore and off-shore.

Lars was a co-founder of the CISE (Consortium of Information Systems Executives), and serves on a number of boards and advisory boards. He has served on the Committee for Economic Development (CED) - Digital Connections Council.

Education

Lars holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
