He is a thought leader on how to implement the necessary management automation tools. At Netflix and Applied Materials, he was responsible for internal IT infrastructure design, management and continuous improvement.
As Chief IT Consultant at Sun Microsystems, he developed and published the Operations Management Capability Framework and Model, and the associated assessment service for the professional services division. He was also part of the Advanced Internet Practice helping ISP's and ASP's design, deploy and manage large scale compute infrastructures. As Director of IT he was responsible for the HPC infrastructure design and management at Complete Genomics (acquired by BGI-Shenzhen in 2013) that sequenced their 1st human genome.
Edward is passionate about understanding and applying new IT solutions. With increased pressure on IT to make decisions better and faster, he believes Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning practices will be critical tools to success and IT’s future.
